Manhattan School of Music students have a wide variety of opportunities to perform at MSM 和 at well-known venues around New York City.
的 Manhattan School of Music Symphony, 爱乐乐团, 和 Chamber Sinfonia provide orchestral instrumentalists with the opportunity to participate in three separate series of concerts which are open to the public. 的 orchestral program is enriched by selected guest conductors for concerts 和 readings. Our orchestras have performed in venues such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, 和 Merkin Concert Hall. Information about chamber music can be found in the Instrumental Chamber Music H和book.
爵士乐 ensembles also present numerous concerts 和 often feature jazz greats as guest soloists. 的 爵士乐 Orchestra, one of the School’s three large jazz ensembles, has appeared at festivals 和 conventions throughout the country. 的 爵士乐 Orchestra 和 MSM’s Afro-Cuban 爵士乐 B和 perform twice an academic year at Dizzy’s 爵士乐 Club Coca Cola at Lincoln Center. All jazz students participate in small combos each semester.
